Leave Approved Retirement Mug – Return Date Never

$22.00

Start date: today. Return date: never. Approved. A retirement mug for the workmate who has finally lodged the only leave form that matters.

Save for later ♡

Everyone has filled in a leave form and wished they could leave the return date blank.

Retirement is the one time you actually can. A retirement mug for anyone who has ever counted their leave balance.

A Retirement Mug Straight From HR

The design looks like a real piece of office paperwork: a cream form with a navy border, held by a bulldog clip, with a navy pen beside it. The heading reads “LEAVE REQUEST” in typewriter letters.

Then the two lines that matter, “START DATE: TODAY” and “RETURN DATE: NEVER”, with a big red “APPROVED” rubber stamp slammed across the bottom.

The Paperwork They’ll Want to Keep

It’s a perfect fit for anyone who has spent a career around forms, approvals and annual leave balances: payroll, HR, admin, the public service, or the manager who signed everyone else’s leave for years.

It’s a standard 11oz mug, which is roughly 325mL.

What Makes a Good Retirement Mug

A retirement mug should be funny on the day and still worth using a year later. This one manages it because the joke is so specific. Anyone who has filled in a leave form will recognise it, and the red stamp is the detail that makes them laugh.

It is a retirement mug for office life in general, so you don’t need to know their exact job title to get it right.

Retirement Gifts From the Team

As retirement gifts go, it is made for the group presentation. Have the manager hand it over as the last piece of paperwork they will ever approve. Pair it with the card, and add a second design for free shipping.

Delivery and care

Do you deliver across Australia?

Yes, to every state and territory by Australia Post, and shipping is free when you order 2 or more items. We only ship within Australia.

How is the design printed, and will it last?

Every mug is hand-printed in Australia using sublimation printing on an 11oz ceramic mug. We like to be upfront: like every sublimation print, the colours will gradually soften with use and washing. It is made for everyday drinking, and a favourite mug that has worn in a little is part of its charm.

How do I look after it?

The sublimation print is dishwasher safe, so you can load it up with the rest of the kitchen. To keep the colours looking fresh for longer, a hand wash with a soft sponge is kinder than a scourer.
