This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you visit mugface.com.au or purchase from us, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture (if any) is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Product reviews and review invitations
When you leave a product review on our website, we collect the information you provide in the review form, which may include your name (or chosen display name), email address, rating, written review and any photos or other media you choose to upload. We may also link your review to information about your order (such as the products purchased and the date of purchase) so we can confirm that it relates to an actual purchase.
We use this information to:

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to help our site function properly and to understand how it is used.
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

Who we share your data with

For product reviews and review invitations, we may use a third-party reviews partner, currently Customer Reviews for WooCommerce (CusRev). Where we use this service, we may share limited order information with CusRev such as your name, email address, order number, products purchased and purchase date so that they can send review invitations, collect reviews and help verify that reviews come from genuine customers. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment or product review, the comment/review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This helps us recognise and approve any follow-up comments or reviews automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue, and allows other customers to continue to see your feedback.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments or reviews, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes (for example, certain transaction records).

Where your data is sent
Visitor comments and form submissions may be checked through an automated spam detection service and other security tools.
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps and session replay to help us improve and market our products and services. Website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products and online activity. We may also use this information for site optimisation, fraud and security purposes and advertising.
