Christmas gifts for dog lovers and cat lovers don’t need to be complicated: a novelty mug that matches their pet obsession is a gift that actually gets used every morning. No size to guess, no wrong colour to worry about.
These picks come from our dog and cat mug ranges, plus one Christmas-themed design for anyone who wants a festive mug on the shelf all December.
It’s an easy category to shop in because the joke does most of the work. A dog-obsessed workmate or a cat-obsessed sister will usually clock the design straight away and know it was picked just for them.

Buying for someone with both a dog and a cat
If they’ve got one of each, the Together Furrever mug above solves the problem in one go. Otherwise, a matching pair, one dog mug and one cat mug, works nicely as a single gift for a couple or a family.
Undecided between two designs? Go with whichever one made you laugh first. That’s usually the one that will make them laugh too.
A few buying tips
A couple of things worth knowing before you check out:

- Mugs are handmade in Australia and sent with Australia Post to every state and territory, Australia only. The Customer Help page has current processing and delivery information.
- Change-of-mind returns aren’t accepted, but a wrong or damaged item is covered, so double-check the design before you check out.
FAQ: christmas gifts for dog lovers and cat lovers
What’s a good Christmas gift for a dog lover?
A novelty mug with a dog design is an easy, useful gift that sits comfortably under $25. Pick a breed-specific one, like the dachshund or German Shepherd designs, if you know their dog, or a general dog-lover joke like Puppuccino if you don’t.
What’s a good Christmas gift for a cat lover?
Look for a mug that plays on cat ownership, like Cat Mama or a cheeky line about mess and mischief. It’s a small gift that gets a daily laugh out of the right person, and it costs a lot less than most cat-themed homewares.
Do Mug Face mugs ship outside Australia?
No, Mug Face currently ships within Australia only, to every state and territory via Australia Post. There’s no international shipping option at checkout.
Can I return a mug if I change my mind?
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted, but a wrong or damaged item is covered. The Customer Help page has the full returns policy and current processing information.
Still stuck? Read the design names out loud to yourself and picture the person’s face. If you’re grinning, they will be too, and that’s really the whole brief for this kind of gift.
