On My Own Time Mug – Retirement Gift for Women

$22.00

Her time is finally her own, and she already knows how she’ll spend it. A retirement gift for women who’d take a deck chair and a good book over a punchline.

Save for later ♡

For years her time belonged to rosters, meetings and other people’s deadlines. Not any more.

This mug says it quietly, which is exactly how she’d say it. It is a retirement gift for women who would choose elegant over novelty every time.

A Classy Retirement Gift for Women

The design is clean black line art with one spot of colour. A deck chair with a wide-brimmed sunhat resting on it, an open book on the ground beside it, and a soft golden sun behind.

Underneath, “On my own time” is written in a flowing black script. No joke and no fuss, only a nice thought, nicely drawn.

Elegant Enough for the Good Shelf

If she prefers simple, stylish things, this is the one. It suits a principal, a practice manager, a nurse unit manager or a much-loved mum, and it won’t look out of place beside her nice crockery.

It holds 11oz, about 325mL, of whatever she’s drinking in that deck chair.

Choosing a Retirement Gift for Women

A lot of retirement gifts for women lean hard on jokes about wine or shopping. If that isn’t her, this is the alternative. The design is simple enough to sit beside good crockery, and the words say something true about the years ahead.

That makes it a thoughtful retirement gift for women who have spent a career looking after other people’s schedules and are now setting their own.

Retirement Gifts for Mum, a Friend or a Colleague

Give it to your mum with a book you loved. Give it to a friend with a voucher for lunch. Or make it the classy retirement gift from the team for a manager everyone respected. Add a second mug to the order and shipping is free.

Delivery and care

Do you deliver across Australia?

Yes, to every state and territory by Australia Post, and shipping is free when you order 2 or more items. We only ship within Australia.

How is the design printed, and will it last?

Every mug is hand-printed in Australia using sublimation printing on an 11oz ceramic mug. We like to be upfront: like every sublimation print, the colours will gradually soften with use and washing. It is made for everyday drinking, and a favourite mug that has worn in a little is part of its charm.

How do I look after it?

The sublimation print is dishwasher safe, so you can load it up with the rest of the kitchen. To keep the colours looking fresh for longer, a hand wash with a soft sponge is kinder than a scourer.
